1. Step 1: Skin Preparation (Shaving – Optional)

   If you have sensitive or dry skin, we recommend shaving the treatment area at home 1-2 days before your laser hair removal appointment. This allows the skin to recover and ensures it’s well-moisturized. If you cannot shave yourself, our technicians will assist you. Tip: For sensitive/dry skin, shave at least 1 day in advance and moisturize thoroughly.

2. Step 2: Cleansing the Treatment Area

   The technician will cleanse the treatment area with a professional-grade cleansing solution (e.g., Pre-Treatment Cleanser). This step completely removes dirt, oil, sweat, deodorant, sunscreen, makeup, and other impurities.

3. Step 3: Laser Hair Removal Procedure

   The technician will adjust the laser hair removal machine’s settings (energy, wavelength, pulse duration) to match your skin type, skin color, hair color, and hair thickness. A layer of cooling gel is applied to the treatment area. This gel helps to transmit the laser energy to the hair follicles and protect the skin. The technician moves the handpiece over the skin, delivering pulses of laser light (typically 2 to 5 pulses, depending on the area and skin response).

4. Step 4: Post-Treatment Skin Care

   The cooling gel is wiped clean with a soft towel. A soothing and protective aftercare lotion (e.g., Jax Wax Australia After Wax Lotion, or an equivalent product) is applied to the treated area.

   Tip: This lotion not only soothes the skin and reduces redness/irritation, but also provides antibacterial protection, promotes healing, helps prevent ingrown hairs, and keeps the skin moisturized. For best results, continue using a specialized aftercare lotion at home for at least 7-10 days after treatment.

Total hair removal time: from 10-120 minutes depending on the treated area and whether multiple areas are treated.

WHAT YOU SHOULD and SHOULD NOT DO before/after LASER

• It’s better you shave your hair and put the lotion on the treated area the day before laser.
• For underarm treatment, don’t apply the deodorant 24-48 hours before and after the treatment
• For facial area, you must remove all makeup, lotions or creams with your own cleanser at home before coming for laser to prevent any discomfort feeling.
• Avoid sunbathing at least 5-7 days before and after the laser
• Take a bath with cool water and without shower gel within 24 hours after laser treatment.
• Avoid heat such as hot steaming, saunas, hot tubs within the first 5-7 days
• Don’t go swimming 5-7 days after the treatment

How often should I get laser for the best result?

The interval time between sessions is 3-4 weeks depending on the treated area, laser technology and situation. It’s suggested to come back every 3-4 weeks for the best result until the hair becomes invisible.
